Andrew Cuomo Claps Back At Donald Trump After He Criticizes Him For Writing & Promoting His Book

If there is anything we were all able to learn about New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, it’s that he does not play any games and he will speak his mind.

Monday was no different when he clapped back at Donald Trump who criticized him for writing and promoting his book.

Trump was on one of his many tweeting sprees on Twitter when he shared a few words about Cuomo. He said, “Governor Cuomo has shown tremendously poor leadership skills in running N.Y. Bad time for him to be writing and promoting a book, especially since he has done such a poor job with Covid and Crime. So many unnecessary deaths. The City & State have sunk to historic lows…”

He continued, “Washington wants nothing to do with him, and that’s so bad for New York, which has become a ghost town. Andrew spends too much time listening to his brother, Fredo. Forget the books and your apology tour. The Federal Government would love to help New York regain its luster!”

It didn’t take Cuomo too long to respond. He retweeted Trump’s tweet and said, “C’mon Donald—you didn’t read my book, everyone knows you don’t read. There are lessons to learn & you still haven’t. With 8.2M+ Americans infected, you are the #1 super-spreader. Enjoy life in FL (POS rate 12%) in 2 weeks; NY (POS rate 1.1%) won’t miss you. PS- Wear a mask.”

As we previously reported, Cuomo has been very vocal about not accepting responsibility for the losses New York has experienced due to COVID-19. Last month, during a press conference he said to reporters, “We have tremendous losses because of COVID, we’re not liable for them. I am not accepting liability. I’m not accepting the premise that New York State or New York City should pay. We didn’t do anything wrong. The federal government should pay, the federal government was wrong. It’s the federal government that allowed us to be ambushed by COVID.”
